Reflecting

Im so glad I took time out from studying after reflecting on my personal life and realising that as a single mum of two I was trying to be all things to all people. It finally got the better of me and something had to give, however, Im back. I feel positive and focused and have joined cohort 10 who have welcomed me and who have also guided me and supported me while I work on my re-submssions. Im actually quite enjoying the challenge although at times it really stretches my mind and have now started to realise that im actually understanding it and learning. Its so important for me to complete this degree, its the future for my children and myself.

Hi Ally,

The blog looks good. Well done you for taking a second bite of the cherry, its not easy being a mature student and at the same time balancing everything else. But taking the time now to further your career will be worth it in the long run.
I was a single parent and found myself having to either work in a major supermarket or take a degree to better myself....but with low income and two children to support.
I now have a partner who is very supportive but its still hard when the kids want something or for you do go somewhere and you ahve to say no.....its not forever!!! Good luck your not in it alone !!!
